nick-e melville is a poet and sometime artist based in Edinburgh, primarily grafting in the fields of found, erasure, process and visual poetics, with occasional departure poems. He is currently working toward a practice-based PhD at the University of Glasgow – his thesis, The Imperative Commands, is a 365 page book of days constructed from harvested instructional-institutional discourse. His main publications are ALERT STATE IS HEIGHTENED (Sad Press, 2014); me (P.O.W. Series, 2014); Junk mail (If P then Q, 2012); Editorial(Very Small Kitchen, 2012); STUFF (Whirlpool Press, 2011); this is Visual Poetry (Chapbook Publishing, 2010),selections and dissections (Otoliths Press, 2010). In 2015 he was anthologised in The New Concrete (Hayward Publishing). His first solo exhibition was ‘DOLE,’ Interview Room 11, Edinburgh in 2013.
